Well after 6 years off, I'm back and his time with the new MGB vntage race, we tested at CMP last Satruday to know the cobwebs off, and it went great and the car is fun to drive and did prettymuch what I asked of it, the new motor is stout, lot more getty-up than the Spridgets i was racing last.

Here's a incar of me driving the car at CMP

Hap testing at CMP

The first race in the car is in jsut a few weeks away at Roebling for the VDCA finale, I see Michael you are entered as well, look fowarding to picking some pig with ya buddy

Congratulations Hap--looks like you did not forget much! I usually fill up on oysters but will be happy to pig out with you.

Nice video and welcome back to the fold!

Maybe we'll see you at the Jefferson 500 in '12?
(I'm shooting down to Summit Point for the Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving weekend, but only to spectate on Saturday......my 2011 season is over).

Welcome back Hap! You're always welcome out west if you get the itch to roam.
We've got a couple good tracks out here, Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Pacific Raceway...... I've got my bucket list and will be checking off Road America next fall.

I have two events left--the VRG Turkey Bowl at Summit Point Thanksgiving weekend and Roebling Road with VDCA. I will be driving the IV at both and my son Steven will be in the Courier at SP. Nial--I'd appreciate it if you could get some shots of us on the track together.

Will do Michael.

I don't know if you noticed, but they have a (modified) LeMans start scheduled for Saturday. I suggested that to Steve Hyatt earlier this year and he liked the idea (we always did one in EMRA).
If they pull it off, that should make for some good photos.

I'm not sure what "modified" means--do I have to wear high heels or something?

As long as they're Nomex high heels.

No really.....

In a modified LeMans start, the drivers are already strapped in their cars (engine off) and a "runner" has to run up to the back of their car and touch it. Once that happens, the driver may start and drag race away. It's great fun.

You can see a 2 minute video of one I watched (at Pocono) ~Here~!

No, but a mini skirt, and some fishnet hose would be a cute look for you :jester:

Some start better than others! Sat. wx looks good (no rain??) so I will try to get there, too. If you PM me your cell # Nial, I'll buzz you when (if) I get there. Finding Michael is always easy. :yesnod:
