I'm alive

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I haven’t been around in a long time. Truth is I’ve been really busy with work & family stuff. I was also traveling for about 3 weeks on business & some training for a new product that we’ll be delivering to one of our customers in this area. Biggest problems have to do with my teenage son who is struggling in school right now and working with him eats up a lot of whatever free time I have.

The Shark is doing ok, but I don’t plan on investing any time or money into it until early next year. The B (Pagan) is in great shape but I still have that Moss EFI kit and a O/D transmission ready to install but like the Porsche – I just don’t have the time. But I still try to drive them both whenever possible.

This weekend has a few honey dos as we’re getting ready for the holiday season.

Anyway I saw the "Where’s Bret" thread and wanted to make sure that I thanked you guys for your concern.

Cheers,
Bret

He's Alive!

We were beginning to worry about you! Had not seen you in over amonth, which was very out of character for you. I can relate to the "son struggling in school" thing. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! Anyway, hope things settle down for you a bit!

Basil

Glad you're okay Bret, I am still in the "son not doing well in school" phase as well.......I can identify. If you want to e-mail me off-list at any time I'll be happy to compare notes at any time.

Yay! Just so's yer kickin'. Figgered you had a "hot" bit of business goin'.

Now that we've solved the missing Bret issue, where the heck is Kenny!?

Yeah, that too. HOpe he's "nickel-grabbin'" as well. It ~IS~ out of character for him to go this long "running silent" tho.

EDIT: Just got the: "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" when I tried to call him. RATS!!

Bret:

Great to hear from you, I saw a shark in primer at a body shop and was thinking about you.

Hey, Bret, good to hear from you. Sometimes REAL life takes priority, ya know? Don't stay away long!

As far as Kenny...

I have contact information if someone (i.e., Basil) wants to check on him. He posted in his birthday thread on October 16th, but nothing for the past 2 weeks.

Glad to see your still at it Bret....I fully understand what your going through, I went through a phase where I completely abandoned the car thing for a few years...No matter how much we do enjoy them cars come second to life.

You people who are good parents - Be proud of yourselfs!
A lot of the problems in this world come from parents who just don't care enough to be involved.
Sorry to rant on this, but locally,we had a 16 year old
who was shot & killed by the local police.
Seems that he was not attending school for some time,
& when the probation officers came by where he was watching TV at 2PM at someone's house,he pulled a hunting knife on them,& took off.
He was shot & killed by a city police officer, who said that the kid attackted him with the knife.
The Mother, who he was taken away from many years ago,is raising a major protest against the officer.
She's blaming the system for his death, not willing to take any of the blame for her mistakes.
Sorry to rant, but it's about time that parents take at least some responsibility for how their kids turned out.
I hope that I'm not out of line here.

- Doug
