Hope this post goes thru. Everytime I start a new post or reply to another, I get " British car forum not responding" and I lose my entire message. Then I have to type it all over and sometimes it posts. Usually if I just typr "test" in the subject field, it'll go thru.
What's my problem.

I don't know what the root cause was, but I had the same issue for several months. Eventually, whatever kink there was in the routing to BCF got straightened out and I haven't seen the problem in a long time. Seemed to be an issue with lost packets, and my browser not retrying properly.

So, make sure you've got all the latest updates for your browser, OS & IP stack. If you are using a wireless hot spot, trying moving it and/or your computer around a bit, maybe that will help (or not). I find that mine sometimes needs to be restarted as well (although that hasn't happened as much since I propped up one side to improve air circulation through the unit).

One thing that helped reduce my frustration a lot was to copy my new post to the clipboard (Ctl-C in Windoze) just before clicking the post button. Then if it times out, just hit refresh, Ctl-V and post again until it works. Only downside is that sometimes, the post actually went through in spite of the error message, and I'd get a double post.
