Ignition Wire Set

Any recommendations a good source for a set of quality ignition wires for AH3000 MKII? Is it possible to locate similar sets from local parts suppliers like NAPA? I’d like to avoid assembly of the spark plug terminal end – never had any luck with crimping the leads.

Another option is to use the Bumblebee period-type performance set. But with advancements made in the past 40 years the upgraded performance of these wires may just be cosmetic. Anyway, I’ve seen more of these sets on MGs and Triumphs, rarely on a Healey. Does anyone have experience running the Bumblebee wires on their Healey?

Opinions welcomed…GONZO

Bosch make a good set of solid core wires with angled ends on the spark plug end, yet unassembled on the cap end. 7mm gray silicon jacketed. Bosch number for 6 cyl set 09986 (4-cyl is 09985, and 8-cyl is 09987)

I used a set of Napa 700173 stranded wire 7mm 6cyl semi-custom made by Belden. They have the spark plug connectors and boots already molded on. Just cut the distributor cap ends of the wires to the desired length and shove them into the holes of the side entry distributor cap and tighten.
