As one begins the ignition timing process, the workshop manual states: “ Set the micrometer adjustment on the distributor in its central position.” So, how do you know when you are at the central position?

Thanks.

Wind it fully one way, then wind it fully the other, counting the turns. Then wind it in the original direction, for half the turns.
