Ignition Switch and key Cylinder comes apart!

So, I turned off the ignition, went to pull the key out and the tumbler comes out about 1/2 way and stops. I disconnected the 4 wires and took the whole assembly into the garage.
After some research on this forum, I got the tumbler all the way out and slid off the knob and case. There's a bakelite sleeve inside the tumbler tunnel and that's what keeps the tumbler in place.

I just used J&B weld to glue the broken part of bakelite back into position. Hopefully in a few hours, when I put it back together. I'll be good to go.
Don't really want to buy a replacement, don't want to spend the money and I can't imagine it will last for over 50 yrs. like the original. Come to think of it, I'm not going to last another 50 years!
