If I put two on, is it 2x as good

Yes there are. That, the "tornado", fuel savings pills, an ounce of benzine... etc, etc etc.

So all I need to do is "invent" some time or money saving device and I'll be rich.

You mean "fool" economy, don't you?? :jester:

A really expensive octane booster would be "Scotch", as was used by the chief engineer in the movie "Up Periscope".
Maybe warm beer would work,Alan. :jester:

Stuart.

I heard that you have to be careful installing magnets on the fuel line. If you put on to many, you'll make more fuel than you can use!

  The picture of the hands holding the gas nozzle say it all as far as his targetted demographics (Gnarly old men who like to paint their fingernails!)!! Isn't there some agency wastin' our money in this overblown Guvmint, entrusted with fraud prevention that could spend some of its funding wisely?? :confuse:

Didn't a guy offer "horsepower boosters" for $7.99 + $6 shipping a few weeks ago? And they were really just 47-ohm resistors?

He sold over 300 of them.

Actually I think the Land Rover guy has given us a great idea. If I take some 12 gauge wire, loop it around the fuel line, and tie it *REAL TIGHT* - betcha I'll save a LOT of fuel!

yeesh.

I was thinking about plastering the gas tank with refridgerator magnets after seeing this guys innovation, that way ALL the gas in the tank will have those little dots in the gas aligned BEFORE it even leaves the tank. That should give me incredible power and economy!! :jester:

I answered a classified ad years ago and received a phone call from a guy who sold these magnets. After about five minutes, I asked him if there was an necessary adjustment to the carbs. He excused himself from the the conversation and hung up.
He never called back as promised. Hmmm.

So he made what? 5k tops, less listing fees and postage. Hardly seems worth it. I mean a lawsuit from a disgruntled customer with deep pockets would wipe out any potential profits...

If you're going to commit fraud at least do something that gives you some criminal credibility.

Around here, there are people who put magnets in their shoes and on their backs to ward off aches and pains. Then there are those who are are afraid of electromagnetic mind intrusion and where these...

After you wrap that 12 gauge wire around the fuel line, "magnetize" the line by connecting the ends of the wire to a power source!! LOL

My roommate believes this as gospel. He also purchased engine oil "conditioner" to help smooth out his engine. He got 4 treatments for $29.95, and now all I hear from him is about how smooth his engine is running now with the conditioner in. Of course I asked him when is the last time he changed his oil. His response? 1 year ago! (approx 10k miles) I think if he changed his oil a bit more often, his engine would run a lot smoother rather than resorting to "snake oil".
