If I had a bucket of nuts and bolts

and I do. Where would I get them cleaned and cad plated commercially?

Jack,

Up here I did a google search for "Plating" and found an commerical industrial shop that would help hobbiest from time to time. It was about $30 for a bucket. The biggest thing you can do is to make sure everything is clean. It's the cleaning that takes up time for them.

I have used the cadwell stuff and it works well but not like commercial grade. I would not recommend it but then that is just my opinion and maybe I was not good enough at it but it did not last.

I am restoring a '59 bugeye and also have a bucket of nuts and bold that I need to replate. My originals look like they were zinc plated and it looks like the concours guidlines mention zinc plating.
Should I be looking to cad plate or zinc plate?

Thanks

Kurt
