I can't remember my Paypal password but to reset it I need my password!
Does anyone know HOW to find (or reset) my password if I don't know what it is??
Thanks
BillM
I finally found (via RickB) that you can actually call them and get a real live person!
After about 1/2 hour on the phone she was able to reset my password but I also found that you CAN reset it online but DO NOT put your regular email account in the box (I had to use my wife's account) or it won't let you reset it, that was my problem all along!!
Bill
If it's your account, why did you have to use your wifes email to change it? Is the account in her name or yours? I've never had an issue with Pay Pal, but then again, I might have been just lucky. PJ
I have never had a problem with Paypal, I periodically change the password for security purposes, and I have always used my main email address as my Paypal email address.
The problem was that to reset my password on the computer I needed my password (which I had forgotten, hadn't used in about 2 years). When I tried to reset it via the phone it asks for an email address- if you enter your regular email address it will tell you "you should reset it via the internet" and not let you use the phone. If you put in a bogus email address then it will let you use the phone for a reset. I didn't know this.
Paypal is not the idiot it is just that their instructions re difficult to follow their instructions! (I on the otherhand may qualify!!)
