I got help/instructions from another member - but didn't re-read them.
Had another Midget owner stop by,& told me that the Left side is turned -
CLOCKWISE,while the Right side is COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.
I stripped the threads,& now need another LH replacement hub.Can
anyone help?

- Doug

Are you talking front or rear? You either need a new front axle or a rear axle housing.

Kurt.

Take that back the front axle's aren't handed.

Kurt.

The front axle isn't handed but the hub is (on a knock-off wheel car)

Of course....I wasn't thinking of the wheel...never heard of the wheel hub being stripped but I suppose it's possible.

Unless only the nut stripped [unlikely] he's going to need a new axle housing.

Kurt.

OK - I Blew it - what puller do I need to get the hub/bearing out?

You don't. First of all Doug, if the bearing ain't broke don't fix it. Generally the old bearings are better fit than the new. In terms of the actual hub, (and someone confirm this the memory ain't what it used to be) (and someone confirm this the memory ain't what it used to be)

Assuming the nut is off and not welded in place (sorry ;p) turn the brake drum around and tighten the studs till the hub "pops" then the half shaft slides out.

I was finally told that I need a new rear axle,& a good Friend had one.
Now I have the joy of cleaning/repainting/& installing new parts on the re-
placement.
These words will stay with me until I'm gone ..... 'LHS -Clockwise -
RHS - Counter Clockwise".
Does anyone want to come & help me clean up my "new" axle assy?

If you can cover my travel costs I'll be on the next 'plane out!

Well - finally got the axle off of the car -
