We spotted two old looking vehicles two weeks ago
in Curacao, Dutch West Indies.

Is anyone able to identify either? They are both
pretty cool looking. The coffee and chocolate were superior.

The bottom one, I'd say is a 1934 Ford that was chopped to look like a 1932 Duce.

The motorcycle looks like a 125cc Peugeot. There were a lot of these that were built from the late 30' to mid 40's for the war. I've never seen the toe guards before.

Tinster,
Was the yellow Ford in Phillipsburg?

I had previously posted that photo on line in my American Road Forum travel photo album.

A good one indded!!! Good catch!!

It would appear that particular car photo was NOT snapped by
myself but clearly it was taken by my Uncle Al Zeimer in
Phillipsburg, Sint Maarten,as you discovered!! Uncle Al was a
bit discombobble-ated and thought he was still in Willemstad,
Curacao- Punda district. No more white wine for Uncle Al while
dining at sea!!

BTW: Isn't Sint Maarten a small piece of heaven on earth? Our favorite
island in the entire Caribbean.

A guy I worked with married his long-time girlfriend, and they went there on their honeymoon. Less than two weeks after they get back home, she leaves him for the bartender at the place they were staying.....

I had been invited to their wedding reception, and still can't hear the song "So in love" without laughing.

Wow Steve- great story!!

I wonder if she's that white chick, (with the mid-western
accent), we see selling Bob Marley wigs and tie dyed shirts
to the tourists??

maybe that's the first yellow cab

Steve, friends of ours had "Please release me" as their wedding dance, however it did last about 15 years before they split up, they both have significant others now and all go on vacation together, go figure

I could be wrong, but the 34 Ford looks like a kit car to me. Still really cool. I love the scooter.
Neat shots Dale.
