Identification numbers

Would someone remind me of the location of identification numbers on a BN6? I am referring to locations other than the ID plate on the firewall and engine block.
For example isn't the chassis number on either the motor mount tower or the base below the shocks?
Thank you.
Lin

I've had a few down to a bare chassis and noticed numbers stamped on the rh shock tower but none of the numbers seem to have a thing to do with either the chassis number or the body number.

Brinkerhoff,

I don't know about the BN6, but on the BJ8 the number on the rh shock mount is the VIN (commission number). I know they match on my car.

I stripped the right front shock tower recently and there were no numbers stamped on my 1960 BT7. The must have started stamping that area later in the run.
