I have no idea what this is...but it looks interesting.
mystery car

Boy, that is tough to guess....

Long shot, but since it's "rear-engine" (according to the ad), I'd guess it's a "sorta-replica" of an early mid-engine Porsche such as a 550 Spyder or RSK. Probably intended for a VW Bug floorpan.

That IS a toughie. Ad says "1/4 size" - wonder what the dimensions are...

If it's that small, must require special chassis. Remember the 1/4 Midgets that were basically go-carts with Midget Racer-style bodies? Could be something like that?

It kinda looks like the old Devin kit bodies made to go on a VW platform in the early sixties! Not sure what he means about the size though, it looks like full-size for a VW!

'tis funky. Looks as if meant to have VeeDub underpinnings, I agree.

Don't know but it'd be funky looking hanging from the ceiling of the garage!

Interesting project for a Barbecue / beer cooler for all yes motorhead buddies to ooh an ahh over. Light sand and a shot a paint and she's good as new.

Reminds me of one of those shells built to take a Mini lump in mid-engine style.
Can't remember the name, though.

Rear deck looks rather short for the tall in places VW engine ... I have no idea but I've posted it over at AutoPuzzles - if they can't figure it out its probably a lost cause.
