FWIW, I believe Ice Blue is "correct" only on the very early TR2 models, such as Lou Metelko's car. I happen to like the color, and I know Lou does, but not everyone does (same with Geranium, Olive Yellow, etc.)!

Nice article...and VERY nice car, John! I seem to recall that there's at least one other Ice Blue TR2, a mostly original car at that and possibly still with the original owner, in California. So with Lou's car, that makes at least three survivors. Cool. :cooler:
Is this one yours? It is beautiful, I hope I didn't drool on it too much!
Randy
oops: John graciously informed me that this TR2 seen at Watkins Glen is not his, and is 'Pale Green' which was used after Ice Blue. Apologies for the drool though, it was a very nice car!
The Ice Blue TR2 Long Door pictured above is Jeff Kelley's. A numbers matching jewel that had the unique distinction of being named Best of Show at TRA 2007 and followed that with a Best of Show at VTR 2008. Someone correct me if I am wrong but that has never happened in the past. Jeff used the car as strickly a beater in the early 70s and put it in his father's barn for the next 30 years while he raised a family. Restoration started in 2003 and finished early 2006.
