Hi. I am at the stage that my shell is going for paint.
I am looking to paint it in AH ice blue metallic.
I have the ICI paint code 2301m, which I think has gone over to BU2,
which seems a bit dark ?
Any help wound be appreciated,

Steve,
BU2 is BMC's code for Ice Blue Metallic. 2301M is ICI's code for the same in their "2K" single layer urethane series. Per Don Pikovinik's Austin-Healey Guide to Historic Colors (Models 100, 100-Six, 3000, Sprite) published in 1999. 25 years later ...

The non-metallic Ice Blue (ICI 2697) is certainly darker than the Ice Blue Metallic per Don's paint samples.

Not much help I'm afraid.

Ahhh the old Healey blue colour code again .
You could park a dozen Healey Blue cars side by side and all owners would say they have the correct colour and every car will be a different shade .
Even the cars that came off the line were different due to who made the paint , who painted it , which tone they were short of that day etc etc .
My car is one of the colour codes supplied to me by Autofarm (Healey Restorers )
It a 2012 Toyota metallic blue .
