Car shows around here usually aren't much to write home about but I found this interesting. Our local fire dept has a show at the fairgrounds each year - since it's only 5 minutes from home I usually go.
This year I actually took a picture. It's the "dump" mechanism on a 1930-something Chevy dump truck. I don't know how efficient it is but I think it's a pretty elegant design.
