Seems most of the concept cars are over the top in styling. Been that way for a long time.

Right, but real models looked like cars. Remember when a Ferrari looked like a real car?

OK, I'm guessing you're talking about a picture of the Jag. HERE are a bunch. Oddly, these photos look more like a car that Billy was thinking about. The one in Judy's video may have been decked out with ground effects for the race track.
 
It looks like a space ship, especially the interior.
