I said-"Knock it off" !!

Now look here- What's it gonna take to get thru
to you east coast folks? I mean really !!

Another winter storm is arriving from the States.

Hurricane force winds are now off our coast with
afternoon waves of 15 to 25 foot height predicted !!

My boat Tres Gatos is sitting 3 feet above sea level
on a beach front lot.

So quit this nonsense, will ya??

:nonono:

Plus- we've had a slew of earthquakes during the past 48 hours:

My mom had enough of the cold so she is there in PR till Sunday. Lucky she is. I rather have stormy seas and driving weather then cold and rainy any day.

What part of the island??

If north side- she is this minute being pounded by deluge rains,
high winds and temps in the upper 60's.

It's been so long that I forget what temps in the sixties actually feel like.

Pity your weather is so crummy, I like to live vicariously through both you and Doc E.

Yupper, Dave !!

Not one of my designs has been beaten by a hurricane in almost
30 years of me being an extreme wind guru. My tiny nook.

(knock on wood !!)

Occasionally, I have extreme wind. Can you help me out?

I think you need a doctor for that , not an architect... :jester:

Re: I said-"Knock it off" !!

This Doc would recommend "Bean-O".

Re: I said-"Knock it off" !!

In our paper today.

Three scuba guys anchor their 15 foot skiff offshore,
in known rough water, and all head below to spearfish.
An area we fisher guys call the "washing machine" because
it is so turbulent.

The guys come back up a while later and find their boat has
apparently flipped over and sunk. Now they're bobbers in the
washing machine.

One has his cellphone in a plastic bag and calls the Coast Guard to rescue them.

The gene pool is leaking badly I'm afraid.

Re: I said-"Knock it off" !!

Oh, idunno Dale. Depends on whether or not th' cell-phone was operational AFTER the "help me!" call, IMO.

IOW: did it get put BACK into th' zippy-bag for possible later use?

ANd if they were ALL out of th' boat, they all got to survive. If one had stayed aboard he may have suffer'd drownin' when it flipped.

Just my "glass half-full" take on th' gene pool.

Re: I said-"Knock it off" !!

Uh Doc------

a 15 foot skiff...............offshore in open ocean,
north coast of PR?

That's like driving DOWN from Pikes Peak, in a sleet storm,
while knowing in advance you have no breaks and yer tires
are all four maypops.

Gonna crash and burn.

they did.
