Okay, so has anyone seen my 5/32 letter punches? I know they are around here somewhere, but it just frustrates me to no end. Kind of like my disappearing tape measures.
I must be getting old. I better go lay down. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
Everytime I can't find my tape measure (often), I drive down to the store and just buy another. I must have 25 tape measures around here. Somewhere......
And I thought it was only me! It`s against the law to have a working flashlight around here. And tape measure, they are contraband! Lay em down and the tape measure police come conficate them while you arn`t looking. My vehicles eat tools. I swear! Don`t lay any tools on my cars if you don`t want to loose them. OH .... I almost forgot black electrical tape, It too seems to be "Against the law" to own around here. I swear i`v purchased over a million rolls. The electrical tape police coffers must be overflowing.
And don`t forget screwdrivers that play tricks on ya look for a phillips and you can find all sorts of flat tips and via versa.
Not to mention the fiasco of finding a pen or pencil.
*SIGH*
I'm with Art; all of my tools have a home and I know instantly where each lives. When I'm done using something, I put it away. I don't loan my tools to neighbors either; BTDT, never get them back. Unless it's something big that I want them to store
I've had to resort to "hiding" some tools lest wife/kids help themselves and never put them back. I have a SureFire flashlight that cost a small fortune. I keep it (and a stach or 50 batteries) well hidden so my kids can't find them.
I found them this morning. Sitting on the floor jack that I slid under the car last night. Still haven't found my tape measure, so I better go buy another one. Another pack of batteries for my dead flashlights too.
/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif And exactly where you left them last /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif !! If you can't find them let me know and I will start searching for mine! I'm not too far up the road! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
Must be an age thing. I've got 6 tape measures & 10 utility knives. I usually keep them in different places so I'll always have one available..can't find a one.

vping, brilliant strategy so i thought myself, if i had a nickle for every tape measure, utility knife, and sheetrock saw ive bought id own an f-1 prancing horse. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif
1) Dig tool out of box
2) Use tool
3) Set tool down
4) Go to pick the same tool up 2 seconds later and can't find it
5) Spend the next 30 minutes looking all around me for said tool
6) ~FINALLY~ find said tool in back pocket /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif
nunyas, /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif, /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif my son has often located my reading glasses for me while they were on top of my head, put em there so i would misplace em. hah /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif
Reminds me of the old Andy Capp cartoon of him sitting on the sofa ready to do his crossword and he says "Hey Flo, have you seen my pencil?" to which she replies "It's behind your ear!" and he says "Tsk! Tsk Woman, Which ear?" /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif
