I am trying to reassemble and put all the lights back on the B today. New seals, bulbs all cleaned etc. I get to the Tail lights and for the life of me cannot remember if the blinker is the top (red) and brake the bottom (yellow) or the other way round. I know on most cars the red is brake and yellow signal..but on the B that makes the brakes lights the top and mighty small. I kinda like having brakes that are more noticeable but I will hook them up however it should be.
Only problem is...which way does it go?

Red is brake light. They were "juggled" on the later cars. Likely another consession to US "safety" laws.

All right then....Off I go to switch em around LOL

However, if you wanted to as a tiny project later on, you could change out your tail light systems to the early 2-part lens style....then, you could buy a Euro amber upper lens and make it your turn signals while the entire red lower part is the brakes.
