IMHO, bugeyes are way cuter than Mets and should have a much higher value. BTW, when I snapped an axle shaft in my bugeye back in high school, the junkyard guy grabbed one out of a Met that I had to pay $10 for.

Yeah, that's crazy. And this is coming from a Met owner. There's been much talk about this in the Met world... only explanation is that this is what happens when two people want something bad enough to fight over it.

Funny thing is that car was worth maybe $25,000 at best: yes, it was nicely done but I (and several other people) immediately spotted about 10 "non-original" things on it that would disqualify or at least knock the score down in a concours contest.
