My middle son's 16th birthday was on Thursday, and his big gift was my 66 Spitfire. I'll miss the little car, I just hope he enjoys it as much as I have. Guess I'll have to spend all my time on the old IH forum now instead of over here.
 
Well, you could always send your son our way! ANd besides, you don't need to "have" a LBC to hang here - just have a love for em!

He's a lucky kid! At his age I sold my Sunfish sailboat and had my own money in hand for a green 58 MGA. My father forbade it's purchase so I ended up with no boat, no car and angry.
You are a great dad.
 
My first car I had on the road was an 85 Toyota truck I got for $100, with a blown motor. Got a junkyard motor in it, sold my prom ticket to afford the registration, and ran it for 5 years. My parents were not in a place to set me up with a nice car when I was 16. but my dad sure helped with the one I got. Glad you can do something like that. I'm sure it'll mean a lot to him.
BTW, I haven't had an LBC for a couple of years, but I still hang out here. I like the folks.
