I Need Help!!!

No wisecracks please. I'm beyond that kind of help.

I am assembling my GT6 engine and trans and I find I have a missing part.The pin that goes from the clutch slave to therelease bearing fork is missing. Can anybody provide me with dimentions so I might get one made? I'll be your best friend forever. :smile:

The clevis pin ?
You shouldn't have to have one made. A well stocked hardware store should have both the clevis and cotter pins.

You are correct. It is #13 that I need to either find or make. I never thought of including a link to a pictue. Thanks for doing that. It is #13 in the upper picture.
 
Looks similar to the one in a TR7. If it's the same length or shorter than the TR7/8, I have a pile of those. If you find out and it will work, send me a PM with your address and I'll mail you one. Good luck. Check and see if it has the same part number at Vicky Brit or Roadster. Then you can tell everybody your car is part TR8.
 
I have taken a car apart that had a carriage bolt used for this pin. Sorry I don't know the length. But it was most likely a long on with a shoulder and then the threads were cut off.
 
Spitbits uses the original factory part numbers, so 132239 is the part number at TRF, Canley, Rimmers, etc. Unfortunately, none of them seem to have it in stock (although Canley notes "available to order", which I presume means they have a source, just none on the shelf).

I doubt the curvature of a carriage bolt would match very well, but it would certainly be better than nothing.

I once made an adjustable push rod using a hex-head bolt with the head ground to a matching curve:

Worked okay but wasn't the solution that I needed (finally found the real problem).
