I've looked at tons of them and just ran across one made in
GB by a company named "Serck". I've never heard of them but their radiators look very nice and very well made.
they are very nice, but shipping across the pond might be painful. Wizard has them for the TR4 at $450. Or here's another idea: https://www.tonydrews.com/RadiatorPage.htm
Tab, I looked at their site. Nice rads. Also looked at their tool section. Chicago Pneumatic disk cutter-38.27 pounds. Same tool at Harbor Freight-$9.95 on sale.
ISTR a company in Asheville, NC that sells nice al rads for less. I'll try to find it for you.
Just as an aside, the Harbor Freight version is Central Pneumatic brand, not Chicago Pneumatic. The later is a century-old, high-quality brand, the former is Harbor Freight's Chinese-made "house brand", undoubtedly named to do exactly what happened here -- create confusion and mistaken identity.
With that said, my guess is most of the Chicago Pneumatic tools are also made in China. And, in the interest of full disclosure, I also own several of the Harbor Freight cut-off tools. I wait until they go on sale for $5.99 and buy several and toss them out when the bearings seize or the seals blow out.
I've looked at the Wizard's and may still go with one of these.
I sold my old radiator on ebay, so to late there.
The quote I received from Ron Davis was about $650 and if you wanted the fan installed it was $850. I'm sure he makes a nice radiator, but a little too expensive for me.
Speedwell also makes a good one I've considered for around $500, but what really attracts me to the Serck are it's looks. It sort of retains the original look which I liked.
Well, I'm wrong again, but other than the name difference, the two tools look exactly alike to me. So is Central copying Chicago or are both coming out of the same factory?
And like you, I buy them several at a time. At that price, no point in even looking to see what the problem might be.
