I am sitting patiently at home in my easy chair drumming my fingers on the side table.My new battery is soon to show at my front door. I will be able to drive the 7/8 again.
Half hour,after half hour passes. I see the brown truck. Yippee! There goes the brown truck. WTF?
Later that evening I check the tracking.

"THE APARTMENT NUMBER IS MISSING OR IS INCORRECT. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION. "

Apartment?? Did I move.
No problem will show tomorrow. So I sit. There he is across the street. There he goes down the street. WTF?

I check the tracking

"THE APARTMENT NUMBER IS MISSING OR IS INCORRECT. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION. / A POSTCARD HAS BEEN SENT TO THE RECIPIENT REQUESTING THAT THEY CONTACT UPS."

I call the brown truck company. I don't live in an apartment and there is none around for 1 mile.
Sorry, must be a temp driver as we see you get many packages to your house.
I will Google your address and put it with the package for tomorrows delivery.

I sit on the edge of my seat!!
 
I wondered about this battery that was delivered to me :smirk:

Maybe they thought 7/8 was the apartment? or at least most of the house :whistle:

I worked for UPS at Christmastime (Still have the hat-
to prove it!) as a "helper".This guy sounds like a jerk.

Guess who get's to do their little dirty work and "FIND" the address? The US Postal Service.....and besides, if UPS thinks the address is incorrect or they can't find it, what makes them think the postcard is going to get to them? :wall:
