Last night I bought my wife a...PRIUS! Yep, I have gone to the dark, er..I mean, green side.

I have an XKE and a Big Healey in the garage, my daily driver is a 300 hp premium-only Infinity and now I bought a tree hugger's car. SHOOT ME NOW!

Actually, if you can get past the butt ugly looks, it's kind of a cool ride, in a Birkenstock kind of way. Handling is decent, mileage is ridiculous, roomy as all get out, comfortable, navigation and blue tooth, solid company and great reliable reputation. Hey, what can I say, it's what she wanted (I wanted a Mini Cooper S, but I didn't get a vote). Oh well, I guess my carbon footprint just got smaller. As Martha would say -
It's a good thing.

I'm off now to find a bicycle to race. Happy New Year to all...

No, you're not crazy... the wife's cars don't really count; of course, everyone else probably thinks you're crazy for all the old LBCs in the garage.... :devilgrin:

My in-laws still cannot understand why anyone would want more than one tempermental old relic....

This is the price after a deduction of Eur 2000,- on all models by the importer and a premium by the Government of Eur 6000 ( as it is a green car)

Price of Gasoline Euro 1,18 liter = Us 1.64 one gallon will be US 6.20

On the other hand with a Healey in the garage and a coming restoration of a works car it might be better to take the bycicle for a while( Goverment programm as well you buy a bycicle and handover the bill to your employer
you give in return some of your vacation days depends on what you earn and this will be calculated as Gross for nett.

My wife just bought one also. Overall, a pretty good car. I think the seats could be a little more comfortable, but I think we have to consider this is a $18K car with Hybrid technology that costs about 5-7K more.
