I miss Tony

Just FYI - if anyone posting in this thread hasn't already done so, be sure to post your condolences to the family and your thoughts about Tony in THIS thread. In a few more days, we will print out that thread and send it to Jeri.

When I first posted to this forum I believe it was " Randi's Rear end. "Tony was one of my first helpful responses. He was my parts supplier, guru ,sold my son a fabulous mgbgt shell, and a true light in my Lucas darkness. We got to turn Tony & Jerri and other forum friends onto Cane's chicken the first British Car day after Katrina. We are all such a family that this pain is physically shared. The man not only coined the Autoist he was the Autoist and I for one will whisper thank you every time I turn the key and Maggie or the Mosquito or even the Snail hums to life because driving an LBC is always a joy & he was such a large part of keeping mine running. And if you are up there listening. I'm very proud to call you friend.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Tony, but he was always helpful to me. A really great fellow who will be sorely missed. My very sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

I didn't get to really know Tony, just conversed on these BBS over the last couple of years. I really did get to rely on his wisdom and experience and always found something to enjoy in his contributions.

I have come to find that he truly was a great gentleman.
He was a Veteran of war and service to our country. And yet that didn't make him great.
He was a family man to his wife, his children and his grandchildren. And yet that didn't make him great.
He was a teacher of young people, young citizens for our country. And yet that didn't make him great.
He was an enthusiast of old cars, MGs in particular. And yet that didn't make him great.
He was that rare kind of guy that was the Veteran, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Teacher and Enthusiast who cared to share all his time, knowledge and enthusiasm for all that life has to offer that made him Great.
May you motor on forever with the sun at your back, Tony!

Absolute Best Wishes for his wife and family, too.
