We just got a note from our Granddaughter's school-
seems that they're having teachers take a furlough day every
Friday,due to budget cuts.
Not to be political(sp),but why don't they cut programs
that aren't deserved - like the ones to people who've never
payed into the system,or should not be entitled to any benefits?
I won't say any more in this post,as it's too easy to
let things get out-of-hand.Terri was right!

On the tree does it say Jim Bob loves Mary Lou? I didn’t thank they still carved in trees since the invention of a can of spray paint. That opened possibilities of painting Jim Bob loves Mary Lou on things like overpasses.

we're going through the same here - not school, but cutting front line staff and protecting bureaucracy.
 
"Free" public schooling for those who aren't legal citizens, and who do not pay taxes.

When I live in Germany as a kid (Dad was in the Army) I carved one of those hearts in a tree in the nearby woods with my initials and SW (Suzie Walden) who was my first crush. Many years later when I was in the Air Force myself, I had occasion to go to Germany on a temporary duty assignment (TDY). I was in the same area and as I was walking around my old haunts, I found that tree with those initials still there!
