Don't go there. I was on the phone an hour to a dozen auto parts stores trying to find one. I had the exact # and everything. NO one has them, NO one can get them, NO one knows where I can get one except a dealer.
So, I sent Chuck on a mission with the old alternator to find me one. It's 77 degrees here & I can't drive her.

that's a remanufacturerd Lucas alternator. Which is great if you're wanting to stick with original type parts. I was suggesting upgrading the alternator to a slightly higher output Bosche or AC Delco alternator. The Bosche alternator from a Ford Fiesta bolts in nearly perfectly, plus it has the capability to deliver more power than the stock MGB unit.
You won't be able to find a Lucas reman'ed unit in any local parts store. You'll have to special order through the store or order it yourself online.
There's a few sites on the net that detail how to upgrade to one of the higher powered units I've mentioned above.

And any LBC over four years old is ~bound~ to have "non-standard" bits. Trick is understanding ~systems~ well enuff to have a handle on whatever pieces there are when you encounter 'em.
We're all ~WIZARDS~ at sussin' what's wrong... makin' it *right* under the aforementioned "aftermarket" circumstances is wot keeps us interested... and rollin' down th' road.

I guess I was also considering how much modification/fabrication it would take to make something else fit. As well as the possible benefits for making the substitution..........Heck, I'm not overtaxing my( 25 amp ???) generator.
( I would rather do generator & 2 bobbin control box maintenance on the road than mess w/ a new alternator)

Well, the kid at O'Reilly's did try to test it. Couldn't figure out what DNT meant. So he checked in the D drawer, the N drawer & the T drawer (for the correct plug) - ended up calling the company that makes the tester.

That's what I'm doing now. He was up at 4am (worked at John's shop on Binabox yesterday for 9 hours) and he's pretty much out of it in the recliner right now.
Did I mention it's my anniversary?
Advance Auto Parts and Autozone both have the 13107, but the difference in price is significant. $52.99 at Autozone, $97.77 (or $71.99) at Advance.

Advance Auto has (same cross-reference/match)#13107, Worldwide, reman w/ bosch alternator, lifetime warranty $97.77 AND they have another (same #13107) OE Quality, reman w/ bosch unit, 55amp, internal regulator, lifetime warranty $71.99
