Drove the TR3A in our little mountain community's 4th of July parade.

Amazingly, even though we only have a population of about 600 I was not the only Triumph in the parade... in fact I was not the only red TR3 in the parade. Yikes!
 
Here's the other TR3 that was in the parade. Only 3 cars in the thing, 1 1929 Ford and 2 Red TRs. The parade ended at his cabin so I stopped and introduced myself.

Excellent, just like London buses, not one for miles then 2 show up at the same time.
 
How did you fasten those funny coloured stripey/starry flags to the mudguards?

Lots of cool stuff at this site.

These are wicked strong magnets. I got them to be able to open DVD cases from the library when my wife (never me of course) forgets to have the librarian open them at the check-out.

Was looking for a way to attach the flags and remembered these. Used 5 layers of duct tape on the magnet or else I would have had to use a claw hammer to pry them off the wing.

Should work just fine for the Maple Leaf too.

Who was the other Gent? Was he a Local? Does he know about this site? I guess he probably does now! Its just amazing how these LBCs hide!

I thought you simply removed your Fender Mirrors and Proped the Flags into the mounting Holes! Well; All I can say is; It really looks like lots of Fun to Me!

WOW. Great day and a great place for a good old Triumph! What fun. I went up the same mountain last weekend at 10:00 PM, and what a treat that was!
 
I got to drive a heavily modified '29 Model A in a parade in Cayucas California yesterday. Nice car with a pinto V-6, power brakes, power steering, Automatic transmission, 12 volt system. Drove with a bunch of other (nonmodified) Model A's.

Alas, because of the 12 volt system, no uuga horn. So while all the other Model A's were uuga-ing, all I could do is rev the engine.

I'm going to try to get the club to do a weekender in a couple years to do it together when the Holiday falls on Saturday. Cayucas is located midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, really nice area, lots of wineries.

Run two of them in series !

Lots of other solutions, but that seems easiest. Also fairly trivial to build a solid-state regulated 6v supply from the 12v supply. Even a simple dropping resistor might work (although I suspect it would alter the sound of the horn).

Alas, the car does not belong to me, but to my Father in Law.

But I will pass the advise along.
