The little light bar that fits right below the control knobs on the dash has a little, bitty black Bakelite plastic bulb holder that is similar in size to a Tylenol capsule (I could use one right about now). I think TRF is now offering the light bar but the bulb holder is no longer available. Would anybody out there happen to have one?
 
If it is the same as the light bar below the heater controls on a Spit (I think it is) then I might have one.

I will root around in the garage tomorrow and see if I still have it.
 
That would be sweet, Ross. The little light holder is very small and has two male electrical blade connectors, all within the space of about <1". Let me know.
 
Somewhere I've got extra bulbs and I thought that I had an extra socket as well. I've got more digging to do in the morning. If I find it, it's yours. Do you need the bulb as well?
 
I just emailed a couple of guys who may have them. I can't find the bulbs or anything that I want tonight. Time to hit the sack.

Actually, Kevin, I think mine is a 2-wire socket. Yours seems to have only one, unless one is unplugged. Hmmmmm.
 
Bill - looks like I had something else in mind.

Attached is the bulb holder I thought you were looking for. If this is what you need - its yours. But from these follow-on posts, looks like maybe this is not it.

Sorry to disappoint.

I'm confused. Kevin has the one I need and says it is the same as Ross'. I misunderstood, Kevin, thinking yours was available. Ross, if yours is indeed the same as Kevin's and you want to part with it, send me a PM. ASAP.

My part is NOT the same as Kevin's. What I thought you needed was the light-bar and socket from below the heater controls. See my earlier post. Sorry about that.

Bill: Seems from this thread it may be possible one
gentleman has one thing you need; another has the other.

Take a look at this pic I think is what you would like
to reconstruct.

I saw Ross (guzzul), something like that, has the
bulb holder, the black plastic you describe. I notice
he shows the slightly rusty piece of metal. This is a
clip that holds the black plastic piece you're missing
into the underside of the light bar. You'll need them
both.

Then the two-paddled part shown by mrv.. something
gentleman, (please take no offense folks), is the actual
bulb with wire attachment. That bulb slides into the
black plastic Tylenol-type container you describe.

Clear as mud, huh?

Anyway, I think you need each of these pieces.
