Do you see more PR or American flags?

Here we have more PR

<span style="color: #000099">Both on public buildings.

More American flags in general but
more PR flag emblems and tropical PR stuff
on tee shirts, artwork, etc.

I saw one car license plate from Alaska.

I'm sure you've noticed the TV ad thing where you get, BUT WAIT!! We'll give you "TWO" of whatever, for the price of one! BUT, you have to pay individual shipping for each item. It costs the company less money to put both items in one package. So to me, the shipping and handling thing is another way to get more of your money. The wife and I won't patronize those products.

This is a very old trick... as I recall Henry Ford used to ship Model Ts in knocked-down form (8 or 12 to a flat car) for local assembly and charge customers as though they were sent fully built (2or 3 to a flatcar).

And it seems to happen a lot on many e-bay auctions....

Henry also specified to his parts suppliers, the dimensions of the packing crates the parts came in, even the type of wood, thickness, length and width of the boards so the material could be used in the wooden parts of his cars without extensive resizing, if any. Nothing dumb about old Henry.
