I'd like to take that out for a half hour or so.
 
Ok, the tear-down...

Has a fuel cell, but they left on the original fuel filler tube? Maybe the original tank?

No heat.

Painted the rubber bumpers.

Coulda blended the stick-on hood scoop with a bit o filler.

Wiring changed extensively(DPO).

How did they convert the ford to rear sump (or dry sump) or did they? That one's important!
 
I hate it when someone is selling a car and says stuff like "this is a serious car, not a toy" or "I won't sell this car to anyone under 21"
C'mon. Get off your high horse and just sell the car.
I get it, It's fast. But it's not the fastest thing ever built, and if some kid wants to kill himself in a car he can't handle, that's his problem. Ya got cash?
What if a 20 year old comes over with an SCCA license.
I just get the feeling that the seller thinks he's a better driver than everyone else, or something.

Ya, it seems like this is a cry for help for the seller. I don't think he really wants to sell it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif He probably has a reserve he knows will be out of sight.

I suspect I know of another MGB that'll give him a run for his money - its in the paint shop right now...but, here's its engine & its suspension/brakes are on par or better than his:

I emailed the listing to my wife, telling her it would make a real nice 50th birthday gift /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But seriously, I wouldn't buy it without driving it and we are in the middle of getting a foot or so of snow right now. Why did he pick the middle of winter to sell this stripped down (topless, windowless and heaterless) car? It is snowing and 24 degrees out! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif
