I tought I had my electrical gremlins sorted when I started my add beer to your toolbox post ( an unusually popular post) but went out today and found 2nd fuse from the top blown, no temp guage, fuel turn signals etc. Dang if I don't still have a problem. May have to resort to the hard stuff today. Fuse blows as soon as I start the car.

You got a dead short somewhere. As a long shot, unplug your wiper motor. Detent switch sometimes goes out.

The last thing I connected was the wiper and washer switches, I just disconnected them and no blown fuses.
The origial wash switch is a clear hooters with 2 spade connectors on the back one above the other, and the are not numbered. My new switch is the Moss or TRF replacement and has 2 spade connectors next to each other, one higher than the other. The higher one is marked #2 and the lower one marked #4
The wiper switch looks to be a replacement and has 4 spade hookups on the back numberd 1-2-4 and 5. My new switch is the same.
Dan Masters wiring scematic for 72 TR6 shows the wiper switch has 4 hookups stacked horizontal, is does not appear to show the washer switch. Anybody know the sequence?

I was referring to the actual connection at the motor. Unplug that and see what happens. It is gray in color and stuffed underneath the wiper motor in the engine compartment.

Thanks Bill I will give it a shot.
