I have now seen it all

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif Don't you know - P.T. Barnum's smilin' now!

Did you read the questions?

Well, stop the world, I can get off now - I've seen everything! What's next, Carbo...never mind.

unbelievable...too bad he couldn't collect a $1 for every visit...over 19,000 hits!!!

I love some of the questions at the bottom:

how much horsepower does this add?

Will this work with my convertible?

Do you also sell controls that I can stick on the ceiling of the car so I can act like I have a sunroof controls?

Thanks for the link! I laughed my [donkey] off!

Maybe this is a byproduct of living in a world of computer games and graphics. Nothing has to BE real if it LOOKS real!

Maybe there are more virtual parts we could invent

How about plastic wheel disks to put on cars while they are on blocks on the front lawn? They would address one of Jeff Foxworthy's "redneck" criteria.

Magnetic license plates? One for each day of the week or state you visit? The car would just LOOK registered.

Maybe various marque emblems. Today it's an MG, tomorrow a Jaguar and next week I'll be driving a big Healy - all for the price of a magnetic 3-pack!

Just a few thoughts off the top of my pointy little head!

Looks like somebody liked it and bought one. Great questions.

Can you imagine what more oddities Old Lady Winchester
would have incorporated into her monster house in San
Jose....had those phony sunroofs been available to her?

I thought her windows in the middle of the floor in hallways
was fairly weird. Of course, I never bought one of those plastic,
fake car phones either! So what do I know?

Ok, I'll add something else. I can't imagine anyone being lame enough to think adding a fake sunroof would make their car look that much better - unless the paint was badly damaged, or something like that.

On the other hand - remember when people would buy fake cell-phone antennas to stick on their rear windows? A phone? No, I don't have a phone, but I look like I do. Heck, I knew people that would stick 2-3 on their car.

aerog..you may have something there...decal paint chip sheets....just slap em over your damaged spots..better set up a meet with MAACO!!!

People buy cars that look like they have convertible tops, and pay extra for it.

Do you think if I put a propeller on the back people will think I have an Amphicar?? Hmmm! Audio tapes/CDs of awsome car engine sounds!! You too can have that V12 Ferrari sound or sound like a 19,000 rpm F1!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

You're right... I remember some Cadillacs (I think, might have been a buick or something, I dunno) that they actually put the rib lines and sags in the fake top to make them look like a rag-top, then they put gutters along the sides and had the top of the door cut into the fake top. DUH.

I'll give the manufacturers credit though, they've gotten a lot better. Now they just look like an over-done vinyl top.

The little propellers that go into trailer receivers would be just the right size to push an MG through the water. With a periscope attachment, the BGT might function as a sub. Please don't try that with a roadster, though. They are strictly for above water use!

This all reminds me of that post maybe a year ago of the fake dirt-in-a-bottle that you could squirt on your SUV so it looked like you’d been four wheeling. Did anyone save that link? I might need to buy some, for work of course.
