...hoses, fan belt, fuel lines, thermostat (160), new radiator cap and 4 tires! The cover for the convertible top frame is resewn with new elastic straps, tonneau cover fits (haven't tried it on in 10 months) and she's ready for a bath and double wax job! I cleaned up the engine bay a bit and she's going to get spruced up on the inside tomorrow.

That's as good as I can make her look for her debut road trip! I'm getting excited. Grand Rapids, here we come!

Spare ignition parts in the boot. (Points, condensor, rotor and cap) Spare spark plugs. Basic tool kit.

Reminds me of the thread I posted some time back, "The Compleat Boot." But thanks, we have the basic tool kit (duct tape and WD40, right?) and didn't occur to us (at least me, hubby may be on the ball) to grab the ignition stuff.
 
is there air in that spare tire? *shrug* jus a thought... I have a spare in my car too, but i don't think it can hold air... heh

Bought a case of Castrol yesterday. Have 2 quarts in the trunk, should be enough, right?

I just went out and checked the spare. It's okay.

The stuff you wrap around the exhaust pipe to hold it up when your exhaust hangers fall of onto the highway! Also holds down hoods with failed hood latches and even holds on fenders when the rusted bolts decide to break away. Sometimes you can use it to get into your car when you locked the keys inside. Broke your antannae? No problem! And when you get to the hotel and there are no coat hangers... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Let's hope you never need bailing wire. But in reality, it's not a bad thing to carry a small roll of.

Okay, we prolly have that stuff in the abyss known as the garage, but I'll just toss in some wire coathangers instead!
 
Throw some plastic tie-wraps in the glovebox - they are useful for many, many things. Also, a couple pair of disposable latex gloves can come in real handy.
 
Got gloves, and have the plastic locking tie thingies.

B's at Dobb's Tire getting tire'd, then a bath and wax job. THEN I have to figure out how to pack 4 days worth of stuff in her. Considering I belong to Overpackers Anonymous. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
