I have it on good authority

Not in arms reach of my keyboard, but close enough. A good selection that sound pretty good on my Rega Planar II turntable with Adcom GFP 555 pre-amp (excellent phono stage in that unit), Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers bi-amplified by twin Adcom GFA 535 MkII's. LP's really come alive on good equipment.

Andrew- right era, album released in summer of 69, I think. First cut was White Bird, followed by Hot Summer Day. google it, pretty groovey...Frisco stuff.

Shawn, I'll bring the Scotch if you let me peruse the titles. Wait, Fort Collins? We'll have to stop by FrankenSpit's first and say "hey"...

Any "Tranquility" in there?

...or p'raps "T.I.M.E." ?

Iron Butterfly, certainly.

Rotary Connection goes wifout sayin'...

Minnie was stellar.

OOhhh!!!

Moby Grape!!!

....t'was "It's A Beatiful Day".
I have a casette player in my '79 Spit. I still have a handfull of casettes one of my older brother recorded for me that I played in my '72 Spit when it was new. The tape in my '79 has Janis' Cheap Thrills on one side and It's Beatiful Day on the other... period music for a period auto. ...it's got a certain symmetry about it...

Indeed.

Press ON!

How can a perfectly good thread about music of decades past devolve into a discussion of adult undergarments?
