I hate the cold!

I have like zero pity for any of you TR gurus.

83* degrees on the island today, drop dead georgeous,
bikini babes on the beach, top off the Grey Ghost............

And I have a standing offer of a r/t air ticket, gourmet
cooking, room overlooking the pool, use of my Grey Ghost
boulder bouncer, 2 miles from the beach, world class game
fishing...........

all in exchange for any of ya to come down here and put
Crypty's new clutch in, connect the brand new hydraulics,
connect the starter motor and help me muscle the tranny
back in.

I estimate 4 hours tops for someone who knows what they are doing. 4 hours labor for freebie winter long weekend?
Honest offer.

Pat- week or so.

Kod- I'm at a roadblock buddy.
I have all the pieces but don't know how to
install them. I've read Bentley, looked at the
pieces, read Bentley, etc.

The tranny and clutch were not installed properly
so I have nothing to go on for a re-install.

Dale:

You have made me wish for the first time ~snicker~ actually it is the second time today, I saw a TR3 on a flatbed this morning, that I was a TR guy.

It warmed to +20f in wisconsin today. But just to keep us from being too happy with it, it was windy. Supposed to warm up by the middle of next week though. If my memory is any good, it's been about 3 weeks of near 0 weather. Spring will come, the LBC's will come out and all will be forgotten.

In 1973 I was driving a TR6 to college in the snow and salt in Minnesota. That poor thing, I wonder what ever happened to it. It probably was parted out.

Hey Kodanja, nice looking six!

Hey Tinster, I was in Puerto Rico last weekend. Should have looked you up but was on Condado beach with the rest of the tourists drinking beer and soaking up the sun. What a great place!

What I always find interesting is that the greater majority of Triumph owners seem to be on the east coast where it is not as inviting for year round use, convertables and rust prone cars. You easterners are real troopers. How or why did so many Triumphs end up on the east coast??

The biggest importers were on the east coast and that was also the primary drop off point for soldiers returning from England after WWII. They got hooked on these British cars and the rest is history.

OK, here's my theory:

The more you drive your Triumph (or any LBC for that matter), the better it runs. Conversely, the less you drive your LBC, the worse it runs.

The worse your car runs, the more you post on the site. therefore, the sampling of posts is skewed toward the drivers who have more problems, ie, the ones who have to store them all winter on the east coast. On the west coast, we are just driving more, having fewer problems, and don't post as much.

Bet you couldn't tell that I analyze and interpret data for a living...

I noticed, while talking to people on the
East Coast, that most of the TR6's seemed to
come from the West Coast.
.... Just an observation.

Telly!!

Your were in PR last weekend and didn't look me up!!

Condado, you say?

Like that ain't really Puerto Rico. That's Atlantic City
New Jersey moved south.

Now the mountain town of Guavate with lechon and
amarillos- THAT's Puerto Rico. I live about 15 minutes
from Condado, could have picked you up in the Grey Ghost
and shown you some real PR.

Don't make that mistake again,

I think this goes along with the fact that the Triumph forum has more posts than the MG forum /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Seems to me that my car is more prone to break down and have troubles with it when I drive alot.

CANT BREAK IT, IF YA DONT DRIVE IT...

Being from the east coast all my life and always having some type of LBC, The winters here just really enhance my love for driving on the nice days.
