I HATE snow storms!

Many folks believe (erroneously) that winter in
the tropics is all fun times; driving the Six everyday,
beach, babes and bikinis. Nope- ain't true!

The reality of winter is a much grimmer picture. Every
time the east coast of the USA gets a snow storm, we get
huge winds that fill my pool with crud. The darned volcano
is spewing greasy ash on us of late, plus I can't go fishing
in 8 foot, windy seas.

You northern guys have it made. Shovel snow once and it's
done till the next storm. Crud in yer pool is a nasty daily
chore to remove. How would YOU like to being doing THIS
every day? You NaNook guys are so fortunate to have snow.

BLUUUUFFF! :wall:

I'll keep my snide rebuttal to myself as I sit in my house, gazing out at the 9' snow drifts...

Dale!
How about I clean your pool, and you shovel my driveway?
I'll even prentend to look like I'm having a bad time.

May your feet be as numb as mine.

Stepped outside this AM and high-tailed it back indoors for a sweatshirt! Overnight drop to 60*F!!! BRRR!!!

Dale, get one'a them "pool shark" thingies! A bud has one wot works 24/7 and th' pool is FINE. More time available for umbrella drinks.

Poor Doc... :savewave:

How about -15 Farenheit three weekends ago, that'll make you cringe

Can you feel it?

*wince*

...didn't make me cringe in the least, James!

*wince*

Why can I not summon up sympathy for you?

Oh well, guess I'll have another cup of coffee and try to get in touch with my inner feelings....

You're right Tinster. If that was my pool, all I'd do is scrape it and a hockey game would break out.
Then, huge quantities of beer, and lots of lies.

Man I love Canada.

Dave

That was just plain mean :jester: ...I will happily fly any one of you southern fellas up here to shovel snow if the pool cleaning gets to be a bit of a bore .....

Mine was a tongue-in-cheek thread- aimed at sending some tropical warmth
to all the poor folks who are cold and/or snow bound and cannot drive
their old cars.

The BCF tee shirt in the pool should have been an instant give away.
THAT shirt is kept on a hanger in the "good clothes" part of my closet.

The whine about the high winds and no fishing is sad for me and very true.

After two years of torment and threats of "THE CRUSHER", the Mrs. has
recently taken to requesting rides in Amos.

Thanks for the warmth and cheer. I spent the entire week battling storms on the NYS Thruway and the Mass Pike, back and forth, to and from Boston.

I overheard someone say today, "It's warm out today." It was 17 degrees F!!!

hehehehe...we all knew that

Actually it's quite nice here right now. It was in the mid 30s and tomorrow it's supposed to reach into the 50s!
I grilled out some chicken for lunch and I wasen't even getting frostbite by the time it was done.
Don't think I'd jump in any pools round here though.... Mebbe I could jump ON them....
Keep yer stick on the ice.....
