If I didn't have to depend on my business contacts though an earthlink account, I would have dropped these yay-who's years ago.

Every two months, like clockwork, earthstink starts blocking e-mails to them.
Takes two weeks for them to figure out there is a problem.
They don't provide any source of communication, other than chat (which I despise) to someone whose native language is anything but English (and, this go-round, first they claimed because all e-mails to spaminator, abuse, and blockedbyearthlink are instantly bouncing back is "no problem", next "not to rush you but I am waiting for your reply" even as I am typing a reply immediately after they sent, and lastly wanting to know my e-mail address, to which I gave it, and mentioned every time I post in the chat window it uses my e-mail address instead of a name) or phone (India or Pakistan, with "Level 3 suport" in Phillipines).

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel for ya, friend. We've managed to wean all my clients off anything but fiber or <twitch> BrightHouse.

...I suspect you're trapped, tho.

To top it off, I am ComCast, for cable and phone, and earthstink has "partnered" with ComCast to provide internet through ComCast cable.

I've got more electronic gizmos on the bottom shelf of my desk here just to make it all work.....and when something quits, you gotta re-boot every one of them.

But, if I give up and try to drive somewhere, the stupid Metro Busses try to take you out, so ya cain't win!

May be time for a web based mail unit. My ISP mail quits around once a month for a couple of days. But we are on dial-up here.
