I get up and wander out to the garage 30 times a day and there is nothing to do at present.

So far yesterday and today, I have cut, edged and trimed the yard. Washed the dog. Pruned the whold yard. you should see my pile of stuff. Swept the garage floor twice. Vacumed the garage. Cleaned the work bench again, washed the truck and wifes car.

Might just be time to try to polish some alum. After I use oven cleaner to get the old anodizing off.
 
Be careful with the oven cleaner (protect eyes and hands) and watch where the over spray goes. Doesn't take long to remove the anodizing (maybe 4-5 minutes depending on the type of oven cleaner). Then some 600-1500 grit sand paper to remove nicks and scratches. Finally, the buffing wheel (or drill if you are patient) working from cutting compound/wheels, out to polishing and buffing compund/wheels.
 
Got it. Been messing a bit this morning with carb dash pots just for fun. I have figured how to get em shinny now if I could only get 48 years of pits and such out of them. Think a bit of sand paper is going to get used. I will have shinny dash pots.
 
You need to determine how deep those pits are and be realistic about how many are going to come out. Some of the pits will have to remain, but if the rest of it is shiney enough people won't be able to see the pits because of the glare.

Find some good emery paper and wear a dust mask.
 
Yea you are prob right Trevor, I just being fussy as I have so little to do at the moment.
