I was putting the dash back together, and decided to give the old starter a pull and see if the little Tunebug would ride again. He fired right up! Dropped in a seat (not bolted in, neither was the steering wheel), and took him for a quick little spin around the neighborhood. Still have to install the choke and starter cable (hence the bonnet-up starting method), and the seats need to be put back as well. But the old 948 lives again!

More to come later in the week, if the weather holds...

I want you to see how purposful Drew duckes under that fender and hits the starter.

He's hooked now.

I've been hooked on the LBC thing for a little while now, Jack. I was just trying to be economical for the video. I had already driven Tunebug around the block, so I knew he would start. I'll get the starter and choke cables put in today so I can do some tuning runs later this week.

I know I've got some carb issues, but I'm not going to chase them too much this year. With the 1275 plans in the works, it's not worth spending money on the current setup. I'll be calling Hap this week to start the planning process -- also so I can set the needed budget and start saving!

Way cool - I can't wait for that day for myself.
