The guy I bought the SUs from in in the midst of the hurricane disaster. The only thing I have heard from him was an email saying he was operating on a portable generator and would get in touch with me as soon as possible.
Money order's in the mail. So I suppose we'll see if the carbs were 'spared' in the wrath.
I have a bad feeling my duals are somewhere buried or floating in Mississippi.
Won the auction, sent off the money order the morning the hurricane hit MS. Has been 2 weeks, haven't heard another word from the seller (see the 'who's Mike?' thread)
Have a sick feeling I may be eating that $70...
And I have a lovely cast iron exhaust manifold sitting here.
mehheh... I keep pullin' them SU's off'n every B I've owned so's to replace 'em with a 40 DCOE Weber... BARK!
Hooker used to make a bespoke header for the B's, but alas, they're gone now. No opinion on what's out there as replacement. Paeco and I don't get on well... The ones in the Vickie-Brit catalog would be whut I'd be lookin' at.
Wish list: A Hooker header fer me Lady's B. I wish I'd kept one of THOSE aside back in my pack-rat days. dammitall.
Go with the cast iron manifold. They will give the same performance as a header with a HUGE bonus of making much less noise (the type of noise you do not want toe hear..Valves!)
