Anyone who watches "That 70's show" on TV is watching almost a mirror immage of my teen years. Geeze I wish I was back there. Stuff one never forgets.
Same cars, same wallpaper, same phone on the wall (one), Same kitchen, same hangups, Layoffs, High Mortgages, everyone "Hung out" together... IN PERSON...Not on MSN!!
Oh Well..

...in the circle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Ah yea...that show is so great /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif It takes me back to the days of
-the end of Vietnam, Nixon, High School, College, marriage...
-free love, cheap pot (nickel bags) and lotsa beer...
-real albums, 8 track tapes and then cassettes...
-Pony cars, foreign cars and convertibles...

and the best of it all is parked in my garage to this day /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Ha, 70s, current events.

I'm there with Tony an' Jack... I was in a USAF uniform in the early '70's, still in my first marriage /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Video tape was a thirty pound reel-to-reel THING... and we thought is was ~ASTOUNDING~!!!

Doc, I remember sitting with Jerri in a park discussing our future back in '71...I had been offered as clandestine job down in OZ for an exhorbitant amount of money & we were trying to decide whether to take it or stay in the Army - we stayed in the Army!

Ha, Tony. Me too, then I kept getting all the special ops asignments anyway, without the good money though.

Eight years in Saudi took care of that problem just after I retired. Gota love the Military retirement though and the medical is now outstanding.

I almost ended up in OZ too instead of here. My dad was layed off from the coalmines in WVa, he put in an application here, and one in OZ. Here called first. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Hopefully,in a few years, she'll be like the rest of us from the'70's,& say "What was I thinking?".

- Doug

Awhile back I became aware that not all people in my social group have black & white baby pictures.

hehee... I used to TAKE b&w baby pictures! At Trumbull Memorial in Warren /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

...Ah, the '70s! I got to be a teenager in the '70s with all that it meant - $300 muscle cars, cheap gas, skin tight blue jeans (on the girls!) Styx, Skynyrd and Seager on the FM. What more could a red-blooded american male ask for? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
