Finally got around to changing the oil on the '60
Chevy panel truck.Simple job,right?
Drained the oil,dropped the filter,changed the filter
(cartridge type)......& "oil everywhere!
Pulled the (remote)filter,took it to a shop,had it
clened & a helicoil installed,reinstalled it........&.......
IT LEAKS AGAIN!
At that point,I went on to the Cortina,& pulled
the starter,to take into another shop.Does life get any bet-
ter than this?I really hope so.
Sorry,but I had to vent!Why are this simple things
so difficult?I can't even change oil anymore.

Check for a second gasket stuck in the slot, and that the new gasket matches the dimensions of the new gasket matches the old one.
 
Nope,just one gasket.I'll try it one more time,after I take
a break from it.
