but i really enjoy this project. i don't have any other project cars and I don't race so this is pretty much a new experience in all aspects of rebuild. i really like the fact that (sick as it is) there seems to be a surprise in every rebuild i do. it also helps that parts are still available. But i will have to say that this forum is the best of all. doing this on my own is one thing but being able to share ideas, read others progress, and basically ask dumb questions has helped me keep going.
.
my father worked at Bell Labs in Allentown PA for most of his career (sparky). I was one of those kids that built a lot of electronic projects as a child and of course they never worked the first time. My father worked for his family (i.e., did what he had to do even if it wasn't his passion) and i know he wasn't all that thrilled in looking at a rats nest of components on a breadboard waiting for him at the door. he always helped though.
.
anyway, the point is, if you do something all your life as a career, sometimes it's not enjoyable as a hobby. This is a great hobby for me because it's different from the projects i did as a child and it's not my career. I know some of the BCF members do this for a living and i commend that they are still involved in helping poor smucks like me get through it all.
