So, what was I thinking. Got the 2000 XK8 today, will pick it up tomorrow after it's inspected and one dent, about the size of a quarter, pulled out by the dent master.

Now I can not only go fast and get bugs bouncing off my bald head, I might not get too wet. Really very happy, I'm sure there will be a lot to learn. I will do the timing chain tensioners at the first sign of a problem, but no noise at this time, 60,000 miles and one owner.

Pictures to follow in a day or so.

I've been tempted several times lately. Good prices out there. A gold one with tan top, I picked up the phone twice but I backed out.

Enjoy!

I got the TR8 I wanted last year. My car buying days are over for quite a while. I have two cars that I don't spend near enough time in, but too much money on. Sigh.........such is this hobby, but I think that I will make some changes to that philosophy next summer.

I'll be a while working on the BGT.

But I still want a Giulietta!

Mickey,

I still looking for you but nothing has come up. Its been slow on the older stuff. Several XK8's at good prices. I've been tempted to sell the E, pocket some cash and buy a 8 with the rest.

It's just as well. I've run out of room.

And cash.

But someday... maybe...

OOOHHHH!!!! Here's my chance, and one I can afford (maybe...):

I've been watching the XK8's as well. I think once the kids are all out of the house it would make a nice long range touring car for the wife and me. She's good for short trips in the TR4A, but the Jag would make her happier. Also a nice XJS would look pretty in my garage.

boeingpilot, You will not regret getting one now, if you have to store it. Find the best one you can. The prices will probably never get better for a good car. While I was in England, many years ago, I started looking at DB's, Aston Martins for around $6000, long story short, I got the '37 MG TA, great car, but will always wonder what would have been with a DB in my stable.
