A LONG DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! It definatly wont fit into your garage!!! send it here immediatly!!! hehehehe
AWSOME find. Give it a proper job. that is an extremely rare/ early TR. definatly a 54.(long doors were stopped in the fall of 54 at comm# TS4002)
4 vent holes in the bonnett, Internal bonnett release, no cowel vent, square taillights, etc....
Does it still have a dual thermostat housing?
Incorrect things I see so far is Chrome boot and bonnett hinges (they should be painted body color) and the fender beading was originally plastic (either molded or painted body color) not the stainless type.
Seriously. that car deserves a proper resto. If your just looking for a driver you should be able to get a premium for that one and get a decent later 2 or 3 with the profit
But I guess I'd rather see it a bit rough and on the road than in a perpetual resto.
If you EVER loose intrest in that car, let me know... Otherwise, you've stumbled on the holy grail of early TR owners... ENJOY!

Banjo,
This TS 1203 LO...it's a pretty neat ride.
It LOOKS like it was never driven after an amateur restoration. There aren't any holes in the new floors for the seats...unless the PO sat in the "occasional" seat!
This car was too late to have the funky t-stat housing...but you did catch some of the "incorrect" stuff...however the hinges were painted body color at one time but they are now silver. It also has later tail lights and a TR3 license light.
The motor/trans are not original...and the motor is stuck. If I can't get it broke free, I have a TR3B powerplant that should be a runner.
The floors are not accurate replacements but were done very nicely...I probably won't change them. The interior sills are a little rusty...but the rest is real solid.
It has a "white" steering wheel...I don't think it's white from age or deterioration...I think it was like that originally...never seen one like that before.
I plan on driving this a couple of years then blowing it apart for a proper rebuild. I agree that this is a neat piece of TR history. I REALLY appreciate "survivors"...especially those that haven't been touched. But this car is just too neat not to drive ASAP!
Did I mention the California Black Plate? (see attachment)
