I did it.

Beatiful car!

As for the $6000 special it looks like what I started with but all the parts are missing . Mine was "free" and that one is in a lot worse shape.

hub caps are just not installed. LOL

um you did notice the missing carbs and intake? Probably in the box with the hubcaps....

Nice find, always did like that color.

Well done, Jack. A bit of clean up work and assembly (pull the engine for paint, you've surely done that enough times to be good at it) and you're good to go.

 Way to go Jack!!

I'm waiting to hear back on a Spitfire that I fear is already gone. :frown:

Are two sets of carbs in the cockpit, one had a leak so he for some reason pulled the whole thing. Duh.

Checked serial number, it is a 58 which I thought regardless of the registration.

Think her name will be Miss Alice for Alice blue gown, but will have to check with her to make sure.

So you're still talking to us. Has Miss Alice come home yet or is the wife out of town?

We need to know if Miss Alice is going to be part of your estate or not so we can be in on the bidding. As you stated "My wife is going to kill me!"

Jack,

I think she'll approve. She knows you need a project to keep your brain active solving problems and to keep you from being bored. Boredom = Rust.

X2. Tell her there are worse hobbies you could have....like drinking, gambling and younger women. :jester:

Going to go pick up in a few min.

Wife says she likes the color.

If someone needs or wants a very nice almost finished project BE let me know. Miss Alice is seriously for sale. I just had to save her from the unknown.

My plan is to get her running at least and see where it goes but I do not have garage space for four vehicles, can neither go up or out.

But you can stack them Jack!
If you already have a lift then you're set - if you don't there was another thread around here with lifts for pretty cheap!

Yeah, but he might need a lift to the buss station once she finds out. :jester:

Excellent choice - how many cars do you need to own before you get a car with a name starting with "B"?

I envy you, Jack. Just to be able to put a fine polish on it, drive it, experience it and turn it over to "the next guy". All of the fun and some money left over. Nice!
