Perhaps its all those hours watching us fuss over our British projects, maybe its wanting to follow his older brother...at any rate, young son has found his 1st car. A 1986 Toyota MR2....I hope I don't regret this....
That's what I'm concerned about. The guy we are buying it from has said he will throw in a supercharger he bought for it too! Just what I need! I've already told him the supercharger goes on the "parts shelf" until he has driven it for 2 years without a ticket or an accident! (I'll probably have to lock it up to just try and keep the other 2 "boys" off of it!) LOL
I almost bought one of those with a 20 valve 4AGE engine swapped in. Actually I should have bought it. Little rocket with 170hp bolt in horsepower and independent throttle bodies.
I just hope you don't ever have to bleed the cooling system. It's one of those nightmare jobs, ranked right up there with a malfunctioning power convertable top on a late 50s early 60s Ford
I agree. gen 1 MR2 are great little cars. plenty of scoot, and handeling to boot. They make a good, cheap (relativly), track car.
Since that car's an '86, it definitely not an original supercharged car. even if the blower is a factory item, I don't think it'll bolt in straight away. Just a note!
